Pardon the bad English (it's Singapore). Let this blow your mind: this math question is intended for Singaporean fifth graders. (However, it's caused a controversy for being too tough for fifth graders.

That Atlantic link above contains a hint for getting started (in very early days of the logic, so it's not a major spoiler), if you want to try to figure it out yourself.

(Personally, I got through the early deductions, and was on the right track on the last couple of them, but then veered off and crashed into the bushes.)
