Crazy: Archliberal Chief Justice of Wisconsin Sues to Keep Her Position As Chief Justice, Even As Voters Approve Amendment Demoting Her From That Position

The amendment doesn't actually demote her; I simplified things for the headline.

The amendment changes the system by which a Chief Justice is selected from one of simple seniority (by which criterion the aged Abrahamson would continue being Chief Justice, because she's old as the dickens) to one in which the other justices vote for a Chief Justice -- by which mechanism she will surely lose her position, because she's a liberal and there are more conservatives on the court.

So, the people have voted for a constitutional amendment that will take away some power from a liberal.

And what do you think they'll do about that?

Why sue, of course, claiming that Fundamental Rights have been Serious You Guys Totally Abused.

She's claiming, ridiculously, that when she won her re-election as Justice in 2009, she was Chief Justice then, so that was in fact a vote on her being Chief Justice, and No Take-Backs You Guys.

It's just incredible. Incredible.
