The 'This is Not the Hill to Die On' Poll - [Niedermeyer's Dead Horse]
The political season has kicked off with another Clinton scandal and with Jeb Bush suggesting we wear devices which will tattle to our doctors when we skip a dose of medicine.
Did I hear that correctly? Did he actually suggest that?
Last week you voted on those issues that were so important to you that no amount of wiggle room is acceptable. You stated firmly those issues you consider the hill to die on. As of this morning, more than 8k votes have been cast and the Top Three Four Issues
were clear:
Conservative Issues/Positions:
1. Second Amendment - Pro Gun Rights: 1,249 votes
2. Size of Federal Government - For Shedding or Shrinking Departments: 1,238 votes
3. Immigration - Against Shortcut to Citizenship: 1,184 votes
4. Affordable Care Act - Pro Repeal/Replace: 1,142 votes
After these, the number of votes per issue dropped precipitously with fifth place, 'States Rights - Moving Decision-Making Back to the States', garnering only 706 votes.
More than a few Liberal votes were sprinkled in as well. Thanks to those who brave the waters here at the HQ to learn about/laugh about those of us in opposition to your favorite policies. It takes all kinds...
Liberal Issues/Positions:
1. Second Amendment - Pro Gun Control: 63 votes
2. Affordable Care Act - Pro ACA: 25 votes
3. Abortion - Pro Choice Stance: 21 votes
4. Immigration - For a Shortcut to Citizenship: 15 votes
So, now that you've established those issues upon which there can be no compromise, let's look at it from the opposite angle:
Of the following issues, though each is important in its own right, which do not rise to the standard of 'Hill to Die On'?
This vote is about compromise. You're saying that although you'll fight tooth and nail for some issues, that still others may have to be sacrificed in that fight.
The list of possible answers remains the same as last week. Choose up to three issues on which you are willing to compromise when casting your vote.
