• So Square is bringing a Dissidia game to the arcades (with a console port later). Personally didn't like the PSP game (good for fanservice but nothing else). Hopefully this game is better
• Arcade Hero has a nice write up on JAEPO 2015. Day 1 is here and Day 2 is here. Personally don't see much that tickles my fancy other than a arcade release of a Wizardry game (which will never come here) which connects to the mobile game. Could be cool.
• So pretty much everyone at the top of Planetside 2 has resigned after SOE being sold. Matt Higby being the biggest name who was the face and creative director of the game.
My gameplaying this week has been pretty simple. I've been checking out the One Piece branded clone of Brave Frontier. Not bad and never hits you over the head on "buy stuff". On one hand, I like that the battles are more active than Brave Frontier as it has a timing mechanic to get the most out of your attacks but as something to play while doing something else, that same mechanic makes you focus your attention to the game which kinda sucks for random grinding. It does a great job in bringing the One Piece property to gaming (more so than the One Piece Musou games).,
Also been beta testing Kindo which is a really cool little abstract boardgame. It's like a cross between Pathogen and Othello with some new wrinkles like fortifying your tiles. It's pretty fast paced but extremely unforgiving. You screw up once and the game is pretty much over as there isn't any sort of catchup mechanic. Strategy is a bit lacking though as every game boils down to the same thing, who gets to the middle first. Hopefully when it's out of beta, more strats are thought of. Not a bad little game so far.

NEW RELEASES
Pretty weak week this week
The Order: 1886 (PS4) - A cinematic third person cover shooter. With what they've shown, this game does nothing for me outside of it looking pretty. Early reports say the game is about 5-6 hours long with about a quarter of that being cut scenes. With nothing to boost replayability or including multiplayer, eh. But it does look pretty. Curious in how this would have been received last fall, when it was supposed to be released.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Wii U) - Can't say I've ever been a big fan of the Kirby games and less so of the spinoffs. I really like the look of this game, I'm a big fan of claymation. Gameplay doesn't look that hot though, drawing lines to route Kirby around puzzle platforming doesn't appeal to me.
