Weird frilled shark caught in Australia is living fossil dating from the [I closed my browser already so I don't know] Era.
Fox is catching the heat for reporting on "No-Go" zones in Paris (which seems to be an exaggeration), but CNN reported on these no-exist zones too.
By the way, I don't know much about Paris but it strikes me as unlikely that within the capital city there would be territories denied to the government. Bear in mind, the French are socialist, but they are also very chauvanistic and statist, and I don't think they'd suffer such an insult to their authority to stand.
Not in Paris, anyway. In the suburbs ringing the city -- which is were most of the poor and immigrant population of the Paris vicinity lives -- I don't know. Maybe there are areas approaching "no-go" zones there.
The French have their own name for bad areas-- zones urbans sensibles, or "Sensitive Urban Zones." Some of these are indeed in Paris (Fox's contested graphic showed the Zones sensibles as declared by the French government itself in 1996) and they're pretty much what you'd think they'd be. Places with a lot of car arson, you know.
I think maybe calling these "no-go" zones is a stretch, but then, neither would I take Paris Mayor Anne Hildago's word for it that everything is Just Great, either.
The socialist Hildago's threat to sue FoxNews on behalf of the injury suffered by the City of Paris seems fucking dumb, but what do I know.
Applications to the University of Virginia are falling for the first time in 12 years, which is either because people think there are rampages of unpunished gang-rape on campus, or because people think that the administration will gang-rape anyone accused by a Privileged student.
An interesting piece at Breitbart notes the coming civil war on the cultural left, as various factions finally declare war on each other.

Even reliable boosters Andrea Mitchell and Chris Matthews find Obama to be lost in partisan fantasy on foreign affairs.
And just to wrap this up: NR's Katherine Timpf runs her own experiment and finds that #ManSlamming is total bullshit.
On the other hand: #ManDozing is very much a real thing.
Now that's how you tell your wife you're thinking about bulldozing the house down to the ground: In the past tense.
Update: Apartment complexes in Edgewater, NJ, are blazing in a massive 7-alarm fire.
That's what I saw claimed. I had no idea there was such a thing as "7 alarm."
