The hostage taker at the kosher deli was threatening to kill his hostages unless the police let the Kouachi brothers escape, I believe (I am getting this second hand). So the police launched two simultaneous actions against both terrorist hostage-taking teams.

Official confirmation: the two Kouachi brothers are dead, and their hostage is now freed.

I saw word that police are calling both raids "satisfactory." But right now, we don't have the full story on the Vincennes assault:

Here's a picture of RAID cops taking position near an entrance of the Hyper Casher deli (the Jewish grocery in Vincennes).

And just saw a blurb posted at Le Fig's live feed: The Vincennes hostage is dead.

I guess there was just one, though that earlier WANTED flier included, I think, his wife as well.

Now: "Plusiers" -- several -- hostages have been freed. They're not saying all hostages, yet, but at least they're saying several.

There were thought to be at least five hostages at the grocery.

Fox now says "all" hostages freed.

SAD UPDATE: Reuters says that four hostages at the deli were murdered.

Update: At least four.

Two cops were also shot, but I don't think the injuries were serious. One was shot in the foot.

The female suspect -- the Terrorist Whore, let's say -- supposedly escaped in the confusion when the hostages ran out.
