Ebola Nurse, Known As "The Ebola Nurse" Speaks Out!
The Ebola Nurse has written an op-ed in The Guardian about life, love and her awesome new nickname, which she loves.
I never had Ebola. I never had symptoms of Ebola. I tested negative for Ebola the first night I stayed in New Jersey governor Chris Christie’s private prison in Newark. I am now past the incubation period – meaning that I will not develop symptoms of Ebola.
I never had Ebola, so please stop calling me “the Ebola Nurse” – now!
What remains unclear in this saga is whether or not the Ebola Nurse ever had Ebola or symptoms of Ebola. However, Ebola experts have been clear that in the interests of clarity and to avoid confusing her with non-Ebola nurses, everyone should continue referring to the Ebola Nurse as the "Ebola Nurse." This is one of those decisions that's best left to the experts, so I'll defer to their judgment here.
