Happy Tuesday.
In case you missed it, President Obama has given Democratic candidates permission to run away from him if it would help their election chances.
It's just one more increasingly desperate move as Democrats start to panic ahead of the election. Over the weekend, Wendy Davis doubled down on her own desperate move.
Alison Grimes stuck with her decision not to admit that she voted for Obama, despite how the issue, and her lack of credibility, has dominated the last week of this race.
Speaking of bonkers liberals, the new prog Ebola line is that the spread of the disease is the GOP's fault. Yes,
they're that stupid.
Ashe Schow, who was our guest for this week's podcast (links below) has
an excellent column on California's burdensome, misguided "Yes Means Yes" law and Ezra Klein's silly support for the law.
I wouldn’t say it’s “dangerous” to set rules that won’t be followed, more like “dumb” and “wasteful.” But, okay.
Klein even notes the “haze of fear and confusion over what counts as consent” that the law will create. But he thinks that’s a good thing. He also thinks that risking innocent young men’s futures is “necessary for the law’s success.”
The coalition that backed Nevada's same-sex marriage ban is still fighting. They've asked the 9th Cir. to rehear the case
en banc and their reasoning is that the panel assignment--to well-known liberal judges--
wasn't random. It's an explosive allegation and it represents a new turn in the marriage litigation.
