Happy Thursday.
The Washington Post is reporting that
the White House covered up the involvement of a White House staffer in the Secret Service's prostitution scandal in 2012. There's a lot there. Here's a taste:
Within the inspector general’s office, investigators and their bosses fought heatedly with each other over whether to pursue White House team members’ possible involvement. Office staffers who raised questions about a White House role said they were put on administrative leave as a punishment for doing so.
Washington Examiner suggests
there's reason to be concerned about the South Dakota senate race, which is supposed to be an easy pick-up. GOP candidate Mike Rounds' desire not to run negative ads is blamed.
It's not time to panic yet:
President Obama's big Iraq and Syria war plan was to get local governments to put up ground troops while the U.S. simply launched bombs from afar.
Well, local governments aren't thrilled. "Turkey's foreign minister insisted Thursday that it is not 'realistic' for the world to expect it alone to launch a ground operation against ISIS."
