Rick Perry Files Habeas Corpus Petition to Dismiss Drunken Travis County Indictment

I hope this clownshow is over soon.

Incidentally, it just came out that Perry contacted another Democrat (and another woman, in case it matters, which it doesn't, so just ignore me) about being appointed to Rosemary Lehmsburg's position, should she resign.

So he wasn't just trying to grab a Democratic scalp; he just wanted this Out of Control Drunk out of a key position of public trust.

Corrected: "Dr. Spank" tells me that the petition was filed in Texas state court, not federal court.
