ISIS Sympathizer Arrested at New York Airport
Apparently he has been living in Lebanon, tweeting out support of ISIS, then he took a flight from Frankfurt, Germany (this seems to happen a lot) to New York.
Noah Rothman notes that shortly before this report MSNBC's Chris Jansing had been underscoring the Administration's claim that “They say there is nothing in the intelligence that suggests that ISIS is prepared or even as interest in attacking the U.S. homeland."
The circumstances of this don't suggest (to me, at least) an organized effort. This seems like a disorganized person. Tweeting one's support of a terrorist organization before flying to New York is not the mark of a highly-trained and disciplined individual.
But certainly the intent seems to exist in ISIS and its fellow travelers.
