Some Late Top Headlines
Quiet day so far, but here's some stuff to chew on.
The city of Berkeley will force medical marijuana dispensaries to give free weed to low-income people.
Maryland cab companies are taking Uber to court, claiming that the very convenient (and low-priced) ride-sharing company is "anti-competitive."
The Supreme Court got into the action over the HHS contraception mandate accommodation yesterday. The accommodation cases are the next step in the contraception mandate's journey through the courts.
Leftists and news media are openly sharing their anti-Catholic bigotry.
And while I'm on that topic, if you are interested, Patheos' Catholic channel just started its summer symposium on the family, in light of the Church's upcoming Extraordinary Synod in the fall. Long-time friend of the blog Elizabeth Scalia aka The Anchoress has been working very hard on this, and she's got a great break-down of what has been published so far. My own contribution to the symposium, on evangelizing to gays and lesbians, is up here.
Ya'll have a great holiday.
