San Francisco State University Spent $7,000 to Send TerrorSymp Professors to Meet Convicted Terrorists;
Critics Claim Payment Was Fraudulently Obtained

Wonderful.

San Francisco State University (SFSU) spent more than $7,000 to send two of its professors to the Middle East for a series of meetings with two convicted terrorists, according to funding documents obtained from a California Public Records Act.

SFSU professors Rabab Abdulhadi and Joanne Barker were awarded the money by the university for a trip to Jordan and the West Bank where they met with two notorious terrorists tied to Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), both of which are designated as terrorist groups by the U.S. State Department.

Abdulhadi, an ethnic studies professors, is already a controversial figure at SFSU, having organized anti-Israel events and served as the faculty adviser to an SFSU student who was booted from the school for posting a picture of himself holding a knife with a caption that read, “I want to stab an Israeli soldier.”

During the January trip Abdulhadi and Barker met with terrorist Leila Khaled, a convicted hijacker and member of the PFLP, which has launched dozens of terrorist attacks and is responsible for the deaths of more than 20 U.S. citizens.

They also met with Sheikh Raed Salah, who has been convicted of funding Hamas and served prison time for inciting violence.

I wouldn't have any particular problem with this expenditure if it were a legitimate research mission. After all, FBI profiler John Douglas met with dozens of serial killers in order to construct the famous serial killer profile.

But it is alleged that this trip had nothing at all to do with research -- you know, the actual academic betterment of mankind -- and was instead a trip mounted for political activism purposes, to wit, to coordinate with these terrorists on various anti-Israel agitations and propagandas.

Fifty years ago, professors had political sympathies (usually for the left), but they pursued their political goals largely on their own time and on their own dime.

Now they've perverted every institution so that it agitates against the public, while drawing money from that same public it undermines and attacks.

The Left is determined to make all institutions mere arms of their Shadow Government. They have thus created the bizarre idea that "political activism" is not only a permissible activity using university funds, but perhaps even a more worthy goal than mere research and analysis, which, by not not directly attacking society and capitalism, can be said to be a soft enabler of it.

These assholes plainly do not think there is anything real to study in the "field" of "ethnic studies." We should take them at their word, then, and shut this thing down.

Let the left pay for its own agitations, rather than coopting and contaminating every single decent institution they come into venereal contact with.

And speaking of -- the Feds will spend almost $200,000 to study how "transwomen" use FaceBook.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is spending nearly $200,000 to study how transgender women use social networking sites like Facebook and how their use affects their chances of getting HIV.

The Friends Research Institute, based in Maryland, received $194,788 last month to begin the project operating on the premise that due to “transphobia” transgendered women are forced to use social media as an outlet, often leading to risky sexual behaviors.

Remember Mike Bloomberg's angry denunciation of Republicans' blocking of the NIH from pursuing politicized studies in gun deaths...?

Yes, this would be why. The left is like the shapeshifting alien in The Thing and will take over any host organism it's introduced to.

Oh: They just basically did this study.

A study from Charles Sturt University in New South Wales, Australia, paints an extremely sad picture of women who reveal themselves on Facebook.

Titled "Self-disclosure on Facebook among female users and its relationship to feelings of loneliness," the study offers highlights that are painful for the human social condition.

In examining the Facebook postings of 616 women, the researchers concluded that the more information about themselves they put out there, the lonelier they actually were.

You don't say.

Apparently it's crucially important to prove things which are already self-evidently true.
