Shock: When White House Said That The Website Could be Easily Avoided By Using the Mail or Phone to Enroll in Obamacare, He Was, Get This, Also Lying
Do watch the report from Jonathan Karl below. Or click GretaWire for an excerpt from the print article.
Calling up 1-800-FUCKYO does not help the person seeking insurance -- those on the other end of the phone line still have to complete the application via the website, which doesn't work. All that calling people does, according to memos written by people inside the Administration, is "buy time" by giving people the sense -- the false sense -- that things are moving forward.
So Obama's claim that this was an easy-peasy way around Heathcare.gov was, get this, a gigantic lie. Hm, there seems to be a pattern.
Also make sure you watch the end of this report: When Jonathan Karl asked White House officials about this, they began spinning him that Obama didn't say people could enroll via the phone, only that they could submit applications via the phone.
Another case of Obama "misspeaking," or, perhaps, making broad statements that may be contradicted by individual experience.
