Scott Brown: Is He Just Lucky, Or Is He The Luckiest Politician Ever?
Way back in the winter of 2009/2010, we watched Democrat candidate Marsha Coakley bounce from one embarrassing gaffe to another on her way to being defeated by Scott Brown in the Massachusetts special election to fill Teddy Kennedy's the people's seat. She was too good to rub shoulders with the Red Sox fans down at Fenway, and thinking Curt Schilling Of The Bloody Sock was a fan of the New York Yankees didn't do much to endear her to the home team.
An aide to Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat, appears to have knocked the video camera of a Republican tracker after an event this weekend in Martha's Vineyard.
...
One of Warren's aides, who looks to be, perhaps, her driver, pushes the camera twice, and the second time it falls to the ground. The tracker picks up the camera and continues filming, while the Warren staffer says, "Dude, get out of my face or I'm going to call the police."
"It's a public event," the Republican staffer says multiple times. Finally, as he's walking away, the Warren staffer says, "You're messing with the wrong people."
Never in the history of the Republic has someone drawn such awful opposition in a state that nominally leans heavily against their political party.
