Obama Bashes Congress Again
That darned Congress. Why can't they get their act together? Good thing Obama is above it all. He never engages in petty partisan wrangling.
Within minutes of agreeing with congressional leaders Wednesday night on an address to a joint session next week, President Obama flashed out an email to millions of supporters criticizing the chambers, their members and vowing to pressure them to enact his as yet unspecified job creation ideas.
"It's been a long time since Congress was focused on what the American people need them to be focused on," the Democrat charged in an email with the subject line: "Frustrated."
Jay Carney adds, "Don't look over here; look over there!" and that people are "sick and tired" of Washington:
President Barack Obama's chief spokesman says the dust-up with House Republicans over the timing of Obama's economic speech to Congress dramatizes why "people are fed up" with Washington.
. . .
Carney says "Americans are sick and tired of the partisan bickering" in the capital. He argues that Obama wants to focus on "things we can do" to spur the economy.
As if the White House is no longer part of Washington.
I wonder who Obama thinks he's bullsh*tting. I doubt many people are swayed by this rhetoric--you know, people just waking from a two-year coma, children, people just back from Gamma Hydra 7, people from the Upper West Side. That's about it.
Oh, I know. People who work in the Oval Office.
