Nevada Early Vote Totals Week 1 vs 2008
From GMU's awesome tally site and just updated today with statewide totals:
CLARK COUNTY:
2008 DEM: 52.0% 2010 46.3% (-5.7%)
2008 GOP: 30.6% 2010 37.9% (+7.3%)
2008 IND: 17.4% 2010 15.8% (-1.6%)
WASHOE COUNTY:
2008 DEM: 47.1% 2010 39.7% (-7.4%)
2008 GOP: 35.3% 2010 46.6% (+11.3%)
2008 IND: 17.5% 2010 13.7% (-3.8%)
STATE WIDE:
2008 No Party: 561,776 votes total
2010 TOTAL: 161,145 votes
By party:
GOP: 42.5%
DEM: 42.4%
IND: 15.1%
(this despite over a 5% deficit in voter registration to the Democrats)
This is week one data for 2010 v total for 2008 early vote.
Interesting to see if this pattern holds next week, if so it marks a sizeable shift for the Republicans. The Democrats in Nevada are really, really pushing their GOTV efforts during early voting. If the best they can get now is a tie statewide...
