Alcee Hastings: Osama bin Laden hates poor people!

At least, that's what I think he's saying here. Hard to tell, as his somewhat meandering statement also mentions coal miners, "American Idol" and the workings of the Rules Committee.

Personally, I thought 'YouCut' was a fun idea, if a bit gimmicky. Still, it's jarring to hear a member of Congress refer to those who participated as "so-called" Americans. It's too bad the Democrats weren't as concerned about potential foreign participation in our political process when Obama's...er...lax protocols on donations allowed his campaign to rake in an unknown amount of cash from overseas.

Also, as DrewM notes in an email, isn't it a bit ironic to have a congressman who is an impeached federal judge lecture the rest of us on morality?
