So How Has Our Diet Changed In The Last 100 Years?

Well for one thing we're eating less grains and a lot more chicken and cheese. Pork is holding its own. And apparently beef is what was for dinner back in 1976 when Americans ate close to their own weight in cow. And of course everything is now a lot cheaper and available 24/7.

Cadbury Employees Told To Quit Pension Plan or Get No Pay Increases For 3 Years
Apparently Cadbury before being bought out by Kraft had promised the staff a final-salary pension. Kraft says the pension plan makes the company non-viable and says employees either have to voluntarily quit it or face no pay increases for at least 3 years. Given the overly generous pension plans that public and private unions have wrung out of companies in the last few decades, I expect to see a lot more of this.
