MAJ Gant's "One tribe at a time"
MAJ Gant's paper, which has been much discussed here, is an expert look at what should happen in Afghanistan. I agree with everything he wrote and I think it would offer the best possible chance for success there. The problem is he is suggesting creating scores of quasi Special Forces A Teams and that is just something we can't or won't do.
