Overnight Open Thread (Mætenloch)

Good evening all. Welcome to the Tuesday ONT. Tonight's theme is video.
Oh and just so you know - tomorrow (9/9/2009) is International Cat-free Internet Day. So get your kittehs while you still can. Thanks to pitythefool for the tip.

Item #1: Lego Animation Art
So what do you get when you mix Legos, animation, 8-bit video game music, and a lot of free time? Well you get something like this. And it only took 1500 hours which is like 38 full-time weeks of 'work'. I like it, but I'm just hope no government money went into this.

Item #2: Do It Yourself Helicopter
I think all of us morons respect the do-it-yourselfers especially when it involves motors and flames. Well here's a guy in China who built his own helicopter for just US$3000. And it flies, mostly. Still would it kill him to wear a helmet and not fly it between two apartment buildings with people walking below on the street? Yeah I guess I'm a safety nazi.
