Added: Iskander sent this in earlier today. It’s a Popular Science piece about LRRY, A Fire-Breathing Robo-Beast. It doesn’t seem to have a purpose beyond being A Fire-Breathing Robo-Beast, and when you think about it, isn’t that enough? It also moves veeeerrrrry slowly. Article includes a video of it doing all of the above.

Ace posted this many months ago: The original script for Alien 3. It’s good enough to be worth a re-run post. This is the movie that should’ve been made.
