World Wildlife Fund Trivializes 9/11 in New Ad
They would claim they're not trivializing 9/11, but rather dramatizing how many died in the tsunami a couple of years back.
You be the judge. Edgy! Oooh!
"Respect the planet." Hey, how about respecting human life, fellers? And quite frankly if the planet is going to get all jihadist on us, I'm not really looking to respect it any further. I'm looking to beat the hell out of it and make it cry uncle.
The WWF seems to be claiming -- this is unclear to me -- what these organizations always claim, which is just that this was an unauthorized ad produced by one of their authorized advertising firms. Which somehow leaked out, guerrilla marketing style, and won an award (it did!), but they have nothing to do with it and "condemn" it.
I'm getting a little tired of this guerrilla marketing/buzz/condemn the ad with plausible deniability three-step dance these guys keep performing. How many times do they think they can do this before we catch on that it's all planned, scripted, and fully authorized?
