Barney Frank: White House "Message People" Telling Democrats to Call Stimulus a "Recovery Bill"
P-shop by Slublog
At 2:00 in. I guess this isn't a surprise.
It's also not a surprise that Barney Frank uses the opportunity to make a sexual joke. Which is creepy coming from this big fat gay-John satyr.
MattM. sent it to me to note two other things: First of all Jon Stewart, who had so bravely embarrassed Jim Cramer for his alleged role in causing the political catastrophe, says not a word to Barney Frank about his own role -- his repeated assertion that there was no insolvency risk in Fannie and Freddie and that he wanted to "roll the dice" a little in the direction of extending themselves further.
Also: In part 2, Frank asserts the reason the Stimulus -- oh, wait, Recovery, or is it Stabilization? --bill isn't working is that mean Republican "moderates" insisted on taking out $40 billion of the trillion-dollar bill.
So... the other $960 billion was meaningless. Only that last marginal $40 billion counted.
So why didn't we just spend the $40 billion?
Anyway, here's Frank, noting the White House Message of the Day.
What a shock that a man who never did anything in his life except exist on the fringes of the leftist academic community thinks that cutesy-poo semantic substitutions are the cure for real-world problems.
