What this really is, is a government mandated subsidy for the health care [insurance] industry. The bottom line is - insurance companies aren't in business to lose money. What they collect in premiums is going to be more than they pay out on average. Anyone who chooses to pay cash for their health care needs, because the net cost is cheaper, as I have for the past 10 years, isn't subsidizing insurance company profits and must be stamped out with a vengeance.
