Proposition 8 opponents exhibiting behavior they criticize? Check.
Margaret Cho? Check.
This is really not the way to win friends and influence people, and as Jonah Goldberg points out, their outrage seems a bit selective.
Interesting [Ace]: Given the choice between attempting to persuade those who oppose gay marriage or mocking them so as to harden their opposition, the left chooses mockery. If striking poses of condescending superiority is counterproductive, so be it. They're in this for the poses of condescending superiority, after all, not to actually win on their issues.
