Oh, God: Dean Barnett Passes Away

At 41.

He was a friend. And not a fake-pretend internet friend. He was such a great guy.

Prayers for his family.

Incidentally, if you don't know Dean, you may be wondering why everyone is linking this, and that it's unfair that, for example, so many soldiers have died without anything approaching equal notice.

That is unfair to the heroes who have died without such tribute.

But many of us knew Dean. That personal connection is there. And he really was just about the greatest guy you could ever meet, and a great writer to boot.

I'm thinking about that wicked-pissah Boston accent of his right now.
