Andrew Sullivan's Degenerated Brain Also Prevents Him from Detecting Sarcasm

Another reader sends this email.

This isn't as damning as the other two, but it made me laugh out loud.

The reader (name withheld) sent Sullivan a mocking, sarcastically overly-praising email.

Now, it's possible that Sullivan didn't read it through, but then, I get the feeling Sullivan reads carefully all the laudatory emails from his shrinking circle of readers.

Also, his response indicates he read it through to the end. You'll see what I mean.

Anyway, it's kind of funny. Once again, query and response reversed for readability; Sullivan's response in bold. I have also italicized the parts of the email where Sullivan's "fan" really starts laying it on thick.

First clue this was a goof: The "fan" gave his email the subject line "Heartache."

I have to be honest with myself - McCain is a liar and a creep. I cannot support him.

I cried. I wept for a long time when I came to the realization that my first choice is nothing more than a lying piece of political expediency. It was heartwrenching.

Please continue your important investigations. It seems to me this is the central issue of this campaign. Nothing is more important that getting to the bottom of this pack of lies. No one else is doing the real work. Only you see the truth, and have the capacity to hunt down the facts.

How could McCain fabricate a story about his most deeply held beliefs? It is obscene and insulting, the worst thing I have seen a candidate do in an American election in my lifetime. The worst. Nothing else matters than getting to the bottom of this horriffic, horriffying, and horrible glimpse into the very black soul that is John McCain.

Bless you, Andrew Sullivan. What you are doing is not swiftboating - it is God's work.

Hmmm... Sullivan writes emails like Rosie O'Donnell writes "poetry."

Anyone ever see them at the same place at once? Maybe Andrew's just wearing a "pregnancy suit" when he's "Rosie."

Real or Parody? Well, I'll tell you, so you don't bother clicking over to The Vile One's site to check. It is, in fact, parody.

But it's not far off the mark.
