A Close Look at the O-Cropolis

Even if we, the gods, are abandoned or forgotten, the stars will never fade.

Yesterday's pictures were indistinct enough to make me wonder whether this stage was meant to resemble the Lincoln Memorial. Obama's speech takes place on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech so maybe they were once again using well-known imagery in an attempt to fill the empty suit.

Close ups of the stage, though, make me reconsider that assumption. That really doesn't look like the Lincoln Memorial - just a flashy facade that will make Obama's ~~followers~~ supporters fall prostrate in worship of their god-king-emperor.
