But, barring a major attack tomorrow, May 2008 will have the fewest US casualties of any month during the Iraq War.
Remember how the media hoped and prayed that the modest spike in deaths due to the Basra offensive would continue? Their hopes have been dashed.
Tell me, MSM-- is it safe to call this a "trend" yet?
Tell me, NBC -- is it still your organization's heavily-promoted, bombastically declared opinion that Iraq is officially in a state of "civil war"? If not, when will you get around to announcing that modified opinion?
As Ralph Peters wrote in a column yesterday: "Al Qaeda has let down war opponents." And their media fans.
