A Democratic Senator We Can And Should Beat Up On
Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) says John McCain, with his history of military service and that of his family, might just be too darn tied to the military to be President.
This is particularly rich coming from Harkin who has a history of, um, ‘embellishing’ his own military record.
But don’t question his patriotism because smearing a genuine war hero and lying about your own military record is clearly a higher form of patriotism than most people practice.
BTW- I think Harkin's actual service was noble and praiseworthy. His decision to lie about it? Not so much.
