"Tokyo Gore Police"
Plus Watchmen Costumes, Snake-Eye Costume
I'm posting this partly in defiance (see the above post) and partly because I just would have anyway.
Tokyo Gore Police. As I Watch Stuff notes (Content Warning for Gore), they're doing just a terrible job of policing Tokyo for gore. There sure is an awful lot of it.
An awful lot of it.
Content Warning for Multiple Dismemberments, Multiple Geysering Arterial Blood Sprays, Nipple Dismemberments, Decapitations, Head Vivisections, a Body Being Pulled Apart, Limbs Hacked Off, and a Woman With a Giant Fleshy Venus Fly-Trap for a Vagina, all in a fashion reminiscent of Jejhis Khan.
It's sort of not even gore because it's so absurdist and not very convincing, but it does earn the John Kerry Winter Soldier Rumble of Stentorian Disapproval. NSFW.
Watchmen costumes here (no content warning). Zack Snyder (I didn't even know he was doing this one) is going the heroic route on the costumes; they all look good. Better, indeed, then they did in the comic book; but I think in the comic book, they were supposed to look pretty ridiculous. A "What If Superheroes Were Real?" story sort of has to acknowledge that skintight costumes are absurd. So Snyder is deviating from that part of the comic, but no biggie, because who wants to look at superheroes who look realistically retarded?
And here's Snake-Eyes from the G.I. Joe movie. I didn't watch G.I. Joe but this guy seems to think he looks "accurate."
