Heh. I'm reminded of how dreadfully out-of-touch our MSM Betters were during the Amnesty Debate. Every pro-amnesty politician they praised as heroic; every poll was spun as demonstrating an American enthusiasm for amnesty.

Just because you wish it to be does not make it so.

On this subject, Augean Stables has a lengthy but very interesting post about the lack of true self-criticism among demagogues like Wright, and how the endless scapegoating results, inevitably, in large amounts of suffering and failure for those unfortunate enough to be taken in by such charlatans of hatred and excuse-making.

Mark Steyn provides some Cliff's Notes to that and also wonders why it is that conservative politicians are forever asked embarrassing wedge-issue questions about evolution, whereas utterly bizarre conspiracy theories popular on the left side of the aisle like Trutherism and the CIA's concoction of AIDS as a genocidal weapon provoke so few questions.

And below the fold, Wright's noxious post-9/11 celebration of death in longer form. The poster claims that "FOX NEWS LIES!!11!!" and that the fuller version provides context which rescues his seditious praise for the worst mass murder in modern history. I rather disagree.

I don't expect you'll be swayed, either.
