Obama: A Special Shout-Out To My Pastor
Commenter William Amos links to this news story with video from June of last year at the 93rd annual Hampton University Ministers' Conference. In the first minutes of the video, Obama had this to say:
"I've got to give a special shout-out to my pastor, the guy who puts up with me, counsels me, listens to my wife complain about me. He's a friend, and a great leader. Please everybody give an extraordinary welcome to my pastor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Jr. ...Where he at? -There he is! That's him right there!"
Sounds pretty tight with the reverend, doesn't he?
I know we shouldn't pass up a chance to slay this beast. But, man, think of how this would have played post-nomination.
