Iran bans "faces" on campaign posters
The whole story at Gateway Pundit.
...Iranian politicians may find it tougher to reach out to voters in this month's parliament election when campaigning started on Thursday because of a ban on posters bearing their photographs...
Apparently pictures are deemed "wasteful". Let's face it, its true. Colored ink is a lot more expensive than posters made from old toilet paper scribbled out with the blackened point of a burnt stick or the more traditional clay tablets. The clay tablets are heavier, but much more durable when it rains, and when the campaign is over, the clay tablets can be reused as building blocks for new housing, laid down as pavers for sidewalks etc. I really think the Iranians are onto something here. Mother Gaia is surely smiling upon Iran for taking this "brave" step towards eco-friendly carbon-neutral elections.
