AP CALLS RACE FOR HILLARY CLINTON!
McCAIN PROJECTED EASY WINNER OVER ROMNEY
Ace of Spades Projection: Hillary Wins »

Maybe it's Me
IF.
As has been mentioned here and there a few times over the past few days, by myself and one or two others,
IF it came down to Mike Huckabee and Barack Obama, I'd vote for Obama.
There isn't any ambiguity there, I hope.
It does not say "I think Huckabee will be the nominee". Nor does it say "golly here's what I'd do if it was Hillary" or even "what the hell about Bloombritches?"
It says "what do I do if it's Huckabee?" That's what I'm trying to say.
Right now, I still don't think it'll be him, even though polls give him a national lead as of right this very minute. But that isn't the point.
It's early. I get it.
All it means. Is. If it comes down to Mike vs. Obama, I would rather kick it to Obama. For two very simple reasons:
a) if we have to have two socialist goofy-asses (as Warden likes to call them, who knows where he came up with that shit) running, and one of them is going to win, I'd rather blame Dems than Reps for the next 4 years for all the crap that we're going to have to endure.
b) as an evangelical Christian I have serious reservations about Huck's awful baggage. I am revolted by his "get out of jail free if a minister told him 'asshole's seen the light' bullshit". This list is not only unconservative it's at odds with Christianity. Does his ignorance of the law, his apathy for evil-doers, his embrace of redistribution of earned livelihood for the "common good" have anything at all to do with Christianity? It does not.
Inside baseball: The apostle Paul said it was better for him to work and make tents to support himself than take money from others. He accepted offerings for the other churches, but he worked to live. You can look it up. It's in the Bible.
I really want us to wake the hell up. And it feels like we've been asleep for a long damned time. Or perhaps just on the weak defensive.
No more.
This is a primary fight. Ok? This is what primaries are for, for crying out loud. We get into the goddam particulars! Who the hell else does that?
People who don't read this site, and there's a whole lot of em (who don't have my AMEX number that ace let slip in a moment of... a moment).
I want conservatism to win. I want to smack liberalism. I want to stomp it in the nuts and laugh in its face while it writhes on the ground crying for mommy. Ok?
Huck doesn't advance these goals. He advances Huck.
So the hell with him.
ace did not write this, nor did he read it, and if asked about it will likely say "huh? what?" and then take full moral responsibility for his disavowel thereof.
