A "Must-See Documentary" About... LARPing!

A lot of documentaries have followed Spellbound, digging into odd subcultures rather than doing the same old stuff about the Holocaust and the Rio de Janiero ghettos and Negro baseball leagues. I approve. Obviously this wave of documentaries is dealing with decidedly less important issues than the old school sort, but come on, how many frigging documentaries do we need on the civil rights movement?

So, here's another one I just might have to watch.

"Darkon." That's the name of their fantasy game.

Well, at least they defy the stereotype that role-playing gamers have fertile imaginations.

Here's a good name -- "Nightblade." I'm sure no one's used that before.

At any rate, if this article is as fresh as Dave from Garfield Ridge assures me, it's on the Independent Film Channel (IFC) tonight at 9 Eastern.
