Consequences for Accidental Nuke Flight
Officers involved in the unauthorized loading and cross-country flight of six nuclear missiles are probably looking for a deep hole to climb into. The Air Force is considering firing at least five of them.
The anticipated disciplinary actions would be the most severe ever brought in the Air Force in connection with the handling of nuclear weapons, The Washington Post said in Thursday editions, quoting an unidentified official who said that was aimed at sending a message about accountability.
Okay. The truth is . . . the part of this story that really caught my eye was that the AP is now quoting the Washington Post who was quoting an unidentified source.
The AP is now officially no better than us pajama-clad amateurs.
