Baboon Spider needs a new home
Some moron up in NY was keeping one of these things as a "pet" and apparently it got too much to handle. Only 5" long, capable of jumping 3', very aggressive, with fangs 1/2" long.
..."These do not make good pets," SPCA Chief Roy Gross said Friday. "They are very aggressive."...
...can move very quickly, are unpredictable and are more likely to bite than other tarantulas...
...The spider's venom is not poisonous but its bite is painful, like being hit with a hammer, Denemark said...
Can everyone wait a moment while I go out in the garage and hit my hand with a hammer a few times so I can experience how much fun it would be to own an aggressive spider with 1/2" fangs? I'm pretty sure its gotta be better than poking sharp sticks into my eye...maybe even better than juggling white hot steel rivets or bobbing for French fries.
