Is There A Third Party...

...which a critical mass of Republicans could join and thereby takeover? Preferably one without so much crank baggage. Preferably not the Libertarian Party (though it would be such fun to take that party over and begin pushing for the FMA and, uh, what the hell, making gambling illegal, just to piss them off).

Preferably one already on most state's ballots.

I guess... the Conservative Party is the obvious choice.

Maybe it's time.

Hmmm... The Conservative Party, at least from what I've found so far, seems confined to NY State. I'm sure other states must have it, but I don't see a link for the national organization.
