Whoops: Sherriff Who Freed Paris Took $1000 Contribution From Her Grandpa Last Year

Buddy, a thousand bucks ain't enough to throw your career away for.

Assuming it was just that thousand, and not the suggestion of more on the way, which I actually don't assume.

I haven't been watching (I seldom do), but is it really any worse than the standard daytime fare of car chases/missing blondes/horses stuck in ditches/"developing situations" of refinery fires/etc./etc./etc.?
