Awesomely Awesome: Star Trek Toys At Convention, Ca. 1986
I used to have the Star Trek Enterprise action playset ("action playset," note, not a dollhouse for girls), and man, was that Transporter cool.
The coolest thing was taking my Marvel comics heroes -- Cap America, Hulk, Spiderman -- and teaming them up with the Enterprise crew to fight the bad guys -- which were my Planet of the Apes fully-posable action figures (not dolls!) as well as my Horro Classic action figures.
Kirk and Spiderman against General Urso and Dracula, with the action (not doll-posing!) alternating between the bridge of the Enterprise and the Apes' Forbidden City (with working trapdoor!).
