Just Trying Out That Wuzzadem Magic »

Johnny Damon, Biblical Scholar/Subatomic Psychokinetic Fissionist
This is an old quote, but, as are most things that are very old, it's new to me.
Asked about those goofy comparisons to God and Jesus Christ, Damon replied, ''It's incredible. . . . What more can you ask for? Even being mentioned in the same sentence as Jesus or God. . . . I mean, those guys are awesome."
Totally awesome. Jesus had a .555 on-base average during the 1997 American League Championship Series.
And God would have been in the Hall of Fame six thousand years ago, were it not for these trumped-up charges about Him betting on the outcome of the Job contest.
Yeah.
Fairness... requires I note he concluded that quote with the statement "I'm just a knucklehead," but I think that's implicit in the first part of the quote.
