Cowbell Wrap-Up From Newsbusters
Heading the news: Gas is down to $1.85 in parts of Missouri.
Around me, which is pretty surburban (and therefore there is not much of an additional cost for difficult city driving), it's $2.42. What gives?
Oil dropping near $62 per barrel and falling; inflation low; and consumer confidence rebounding.
If the price of gas continues falling, the Democrats are in trouble.
And it probably will. The world, and especially the US, is now sitting on an enormous stockpile of oil bought up during the nervous times. That overbuying jacked up the price during the past few months-- but now they're sitting on too much damn oil, and will have to begin selling it at slightly-distressed prices.
