Left W(h)ingers In Tizzy That Newt Gingrich Called Lamont-Backers "A Legitimate Insurgency In Connecticut"

A commenter at the latter site huffs that where once they were called "traitors," now they're being called "insurgents." How gob-smackingly vile!

No longer “traitors� for asking legitimate questions, we are now describing Americans as insurgents? That seems to move beyond shrill name calling to a more serious accusation. Is this “insurgency� to be crushed by tanks as well…..? A frightening prospect in a country that is led by a group whose only response to an enemy is brute, physical violence.

“Insurgency� in CT?? If that’s how little newt would like to call it, at least he should acknowledge by reasoning that the majority of Americans are not insurgents?

Of course, Gingrich called it a "legimate insurgency," and meant "insurgency" in the political, not military, meaning; but they're all terribly offended and shocked.

Well.

If that's the case, maybe they should talk to Howard Dean's brother, who similarly called Lamont backers "insurgents" in a fundraising letter for Ned Lamont.
