Fun With Near Vehicular Homicides: Mercedes Zooms At Breakneck Speeds Through Paris' Streets
It's old. Really old. As in, the original film was shot in 1978.
But I hadn't seen it before. It's harrowing, it's utterly illegal, it's irresponsible almost to the point of criminally negligent homicide.
And yet-- well, it's exciting, as most dangerously stupid things are.
The filmmaker was arrested upon showing the film. He never revealed who the car's driver was.
Corrections: The fact checkers tell me it wasn't a Ferarri, it was a Mercedes. The sound of the engine was dubbed in, and that noise came from a Ferarri.
Further, the car reaches 140 KPH, not MPH, as I first wrote. Which is 85 mph.
Still very dangerous, of course.
Thanks for the corrections, guys.
