Casey Sheehan Finally Has A Headstone
Snopes reports that Cindy Sheehan claims she paid for the headstone, even though I've read other accounts that said that the rest of the family -- i.e., not Cindy -- was now taking responsbility for finally putting up the headstone that Saint Cindy couldn't be bothered with.
This doesn't sound like it was approved by Cindy:
"Our Casey," reads an inscription on the front. "Ever faithful, kind, and gentle, good son, beloved brother, brave soldier, dear friend, you loved your family and lived your life serving others to the end." Six icons grace the other side, representing a military insignia, the theater, Eagle Scouts, Van Halen, the World Wrestling Federation and Superman.
No "Bush Lied, Casey Died"? I can't say Cindy had nothing to do with the headstone, but it sure doesn't sound like the sort of thing she'd put on her son's grave. It displays a respect for the military, and a sense of humor, that I just don't think Peace Mom possesses.
Thanks to the Skinner Sphere.
