Full Article On Ward Churchill ("Dances With Plagiarism")
Fox News didn't have the breakdown of recommendations quite right.
A majority of faculty on a University of Colorado committee investigating Prof. Ward Churchill's academic record agree that Churchill committed serious research misconduct that warrants him being fired.
The committee, which consists of five faculty members, will present their recommendations at 2:30 p.m. on the Boulder campus.
In the long-awaited report on allegations of research misconduct against Churchill, an ethnic studies professor, one committee member says Churchill's penalty for the misconduct should be being fired. Two others, who agree that while there is enough misconduct to warrant a termination of employment, said they recommend that Churchill's misconduct instead result in a suspension without pay for 5 years.
The final two members of the committee recommend that Churchill be suspended without pay for 2 years.
Earlier on Tuesday, Churchill said he had not seen the report and did not know what it said. Churchill has denied wrongdoing.
University officials have already determined that Churchill could not be fired for his comments in which he likened some Sept. 11 victims to a Nazis, but they launched an inquiry into the allegations about potential plagiarism and fabrication in his research.
"Research." The guy's "research" consists of watching Pocahontas frame-by-frame, looking for the outline of a nipple.
