More On NSA/That Stupid USAToday Poll
First two items at Taranto, especially the second.
The bias is appalling.
The NYT continues to headline stories that the government is "eavesdropping" on calls, despite no such eavesdropping is taking place under the program discussed in the article-- it's about dialed numbers, not the content of calls.
And the USAToday poll, in its question, "forgot" to mention this.
The previous ABCNews/WaPo poll-- showing a substantial majority (68% or so) of the public approving the program -- did specifically mention that the government was collecting records of dialed numbers, not eavesdropping on actual calls.
