Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz: We're Shutting Down Shops in Democrat Cities Because America Has Become "Unsafe" And There Will Be "Many More" Closings
He also says that stores will be given back -- get this! -- the choice of whether to open up their bathrooms to non-customers like drug addicts and hobos.
You'll remember a pre-St.-George-Floyd incident in which some black guys wanted to sit in a Starbucks without buying anything. They were told they would have to buy something in order to get the key to the bathroom. This was obviously a racist and completely out-of-the-blue, unheard-of policy, and provoked an angry backlash, and Howard Schultz declared that going forward, all drug addicts, hobos, prostitutes and johns would be able to shoot up, sleep, and fornicate in Starbucks bathrooms without buying a damn thing, no questions asked.
As you can imagine, this policy was a crushing success that absolutely delighted workers and store-owners.
And now Howard Schultz is forced to shut down 16 Starbucks locations in cities because they have become dystopian shitholes, and he's... blaming his beloved liberal Democrats.
He doesn't blame Democrats by name, but... who else is it running these cities who is letting them become cesspits? Who is failing to send police when Starbucks franchisees report crimes?
Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz blasted the leadership of Democrat-run cities for abdicating their duty to address crime and homelessness after the chain shut down several stores due to safety concerns.
The coffee chain said in a Monday memo that it would shutter 16 stores in major metropolitan areas, including Seattle, Los Angeles, Portland, Oregon, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
In videos of an alleged internal company meeting obtained by The Post Millennial editor Ari Hoffman, Schultz argued that "America has become unsafe" and noted that the stores facing closures are nevertheless "not unprofitable."
"It has shocked me that one of the primary concerns that our retail partners have is their own personal safety," Schultz said of conversations with employees. "And then we heard the stories that go along with it about what happens in our bathrooms, the issue of mental illness, the issue of homelessness, and the issue of crime."
Ari Hoffman of the Post-Millennial previously reported:
Starbucks employees have previously told The Post Millennial that they have to deal with customers "doing drugs in bathrooms" and regularly have to clean up drug paraphernalia and needle debris. Additionally, "the homeless wander in off the streets and harass employees and customers."
A company spokesperson told the Seattle Times that the decisions on which stores to close were based on how many crime-related complaints were logged at each store and if attempts to lower those rates were successful.
The company also announced that store managers will be allowed to decide if store bathrooms are open to to non-paying customers and that new stores will be redesigned for safety and workers will be trained on how to deal with active shooters and use conflict de-escalation.
Schultz says that there will be "many more" closings.
I've been saying that no known Democrat will be the nominee in 2024, and that it will be a billionaire like Mark Cuban or Howard Schultz.
Well, scratch Howard Schultz off the list. You're not allowed to say that crime is a bad thing in the Democrat Party.
